My research focuses on theoretical machine learning, privacy and information theory. One of my research directions is to exploit the nature of privacy to guarantee effective learning through the mathematical language of information theory, where my recent work provided a novel view of privacy in learning as a possible trade-off between accuracy and indistinguishability.
I am also a full-stack web application developer. Please refer to my GitHub Homepage for projects I've worked on before.
I conducted mathematical analysis of MapReduce algorithms on genome sequencing problems by introducing statistical learning theory to obtain performance bounds and optimizations. The final goal is to generalize the result as an alternative approach for tackling load-balance issues in MapReduce applications.
